6. Walking as Comfort

This walking habit is creating a new rhythm for me. It's a pause from the mundane aspects of office work. It's something I feel drawn to. Some mornings I look at the time displayed on my monitor and feel disappointed. It's only 10:30. I can't leave for a walk yet.

The walks are filling something in me. They are soothing something tender and ragged. I feel stronger each time I set foot on the pavement. Unnamed tensions ease as I walk and sweat, think and breathe. I feel energy building and vitality returning. I am up for whatever the rest of the day presents with renewed stamina.

Whatever is happening, I know I'm on the right path.
